Sewing 101: I have a machine, now what?



Class is on July 17th OR 20th at 1:00pm - 4:00pm

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

A Sewing machine is a big investment, so you need to be sure it is being taken care of in the best way possible.   Simple things such as cleaning, correct needles, threads, and tensions make all the difference.  In this class you will learn how to do basic maintenance on your machine, trouble shoot problems you may be having with your machine, learn  the importance of using the correct presser foot,  needle, bobbin  and thread for your project, proper sewing techniques, basic sewing terminology,  as well as other hints to help you with your sewing goals.

YOUR SUPPLY LIST:

  • Sewing machine in good working order (don’t forget your power cord and foot control)

  • All feet and accessories that came with your machine, including bobbins

  • Sewing Machine Manual

  • New sewing Machine Needles, universal 80 or 90 are fine

  • Basic sewing tools and notions such as sharp scissors and pins

  • Good quality thread
