The 9-patch Table Runner (2 Part Class)



WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

This 9-patch table runner is a great way to learn some basic quilting skills. Techniques you will learn are how to cut precisely with a rotary cutter and ruler, sewing an accurate ¼” seam, piecing, matching seams, pressing, machine quilting (straight lines only), machine binding and mitering corners. This will be a 2-part class with possible homework depending on how fast you sew.

  • Seam ripper *
  • Sharp pins *
  • Clips to hold binding *
  • Piecing Thread to match/blend with fabrics *
  • Quilting thread*
  • ¼ inch foot*
  • 9 fat quarters of different fabrics *
  • ½ yard of Sashing fabric *
  • 1⅔ yards of Backing fabric *
  • ½ yard Binding fabric *
  • 35" x 60" of Batting 
  • Temporary spray adhesive to hold quilt together while quilting (KK2000 or 505 spray) *
  • Seam gauge *
  • Fabric marking pen/chalk to mark quilting lines *
  • Other sewing notions that you love to sew with

She has a vast knowledge from basic to advanced sewing techniques, construction and design as well as sewing machine usage from the basic machines to elite computerized machines such as the Destiny II embroidery and sewing combination Machine and the Triumph serger. One of Gail?s greatest love is sharing her sewing knowledge and skills with others.
