WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

Have some older T-shirts that just need to have a bit of a lift?  Then come join us as we take our new, old, and ill-fitting T-shirts and transform them into works of art using techniques such as darts, pin tucks, yo-yos, and new necklines, just to name a few.

YOUR SUPPLY LIST (WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING):

• Sewing machine in good working order (with accessories that came with the machine)*
• Sewing Machine needles, size 80 or 90 jersey knit (ball point) or stretch*
• Serger (OPTIONAL) in good working order with serger thread to match the t-shirt*
• T-shirts to transform
• Seam ripper, sharp*
• Sharp small scissors or thread snips*
• Medium scissors to cut out embellishment fabrics*
• Sharp pins, glass headed are best, or clips*
• Good quality Thread to match/blend with fabrics*
• Seam gauge*
• Fabric marking pen/chalk to mark fabric*
• Other sewing notions that you love to sew with (like glasses)
• Fabrics (will depend on how you want to transform your shirt)
• FOR EMBELLISHING WITH FLOWERS, YO-YOS, ETC.:  
• Scraps of tulle, chiffon, organza, lace, etc. for flowers, petals, leaves and yo-yos to embellish your shirt
• FOR MAKING A SCARF NECKLINE:
• ½ yd or more fabric to make a scarf neckline, the amount depends on if you want it one layer or two, and how wide and drapy you would like the ‘scarf.*
• If you simply want to refashion using darts and tucks, all you will need is thread to match
• Rotary cutters and rulers will be available at the store for your use

**BE SURE TO WASH AND DRY YOUR FABRIC TO REMOVE SHRINKAGE.
