Pintucks can add fun, a pop of color, and sophistication to your garments and other projects.  From fun bags, heirloom blouses, and interesting quilt squares, there is more to your serger than you might think.  We will go over using regular thread as well as fancy threads and a rolled hem or narrow hem to make pintucks.  We will go over a few different techniques using a variety of feet to get the look you desire.  Then on the coverstitch front, we will talk about using two needles and your pintuck foot with both types of guides.  What do you need to bring?  The list is below, and if you do not have all the feet indicated, just bring what you have and we will try a variety of alternatives that will work with you particular serger.

• Serger, coverstitch machine or a combo machine
• All tools that came with your machine (screwdrivers, etc.)
• Tweezers
• 3 regular serger threads
• 2 fancy/heavyweight threads
• Needles, EL needles for your coverstitch machine
• Small sharp scissors
• Blind Hem foot
• Lace foot
• Regular foot
• Clear foot
• Pintuck foot with guides (coverstitch only)
• Fabrics to make your pintucks, any light to mid weight woven fabrics will be fine.  Bring at least 5 18”X18” squares for all your samples.
