Skill Level: Beginner; ages 14 and up

What you will learn:

In this four-session course, participants will learn techniques to build upon their basic quilting knowledge and finish a small quilt top. Please do not bring a quilt top larger than a crib size (45”x60”). If you took the Intro to Quilting Class here, your sampler top will be just right!  Each session builds from the prior classes, and participants will leave each class with an assignment to complete at home.  Topics will cover selection of fabric for backing and binding, various types of batting, basting, quilting and binding techniques, as well as which threads and needle sizes work best.  We will also discuss optional touches, such as how to make a sleeve to hang your quilt and making quilt labels.  No machines needed for the first class – lots to discuss and decisions to make!  There will be additional supplies needed during the progression of class, but those depend on your plan that will be determined in the first class.
