Border Prints and Triangles with a Twist
What you will learn:
In this class we will use the 12” Creative Grids 60-degree triangle to make a one-of-a-kind table runner using border stripes. Depending on where you cut and the placement of each unit, the end result is a hexagon-shaped block that will add a creative touch to your home décor. We will also explore other options using the 60-degree triangle ruler, as this is a very versatile tool and can take your designs to new levels! Feel free to bring any border stripe print from your stash to use as an example for designs. We will review regular and irregular stripes, cutting with the 60-degree ruler, and how to place and assemble your units to get a unique result. With your machine, tools and selected fabric, you should be able to complete a table runner top in class. If you want to create your own striped fabric using jelly rolls, please contact the instructor prior to class and have these cut and sewn together prior to class.
This Intermediate-level interactive quilting class requires that you are proficient with your personal sewing machine and have a good knowledge of measurement, quilt terminology, using rotary cutting tools, quilt assembly, and finishing techniques.
