Quilting Embroidery Sewing and Serging Club (AKA Q.E.S.S. Club) 2022

With the advent of the embroidery machine, most of us erroneously believe that all machine embroidery must be done on an embroidery machine which uses hoops, this is simply not true. Any stitching that embellishes fabric is considered embroidery. In this quarter of our Q.E.S.S. club, which is open to anyone, we will explore the various aspects of machine embroidery from thread painting/free motion, using your machine’s built-in fancy decorative stitches (including the humble zig zag), bobbin work, couching (regular machine and the Sashiko), applique, hooped embroidery, digitizing, 3-D designs, free standing lace, and the IQ designer to name a few. We will dive into tips, tricks, needles, feet, threads, stabilizers, toppers, adhesives, various hoops, how to tell if a design is digitized well, matching embroidery density to fabric types and weights, as well as having some fun challenges. Come and learn, go and embellish, and share your knowledge and inspiration with other members of the club. Everyone is welcome to come and join in the fun, you do not have to be a member to come to any of the seminars.

Here is the prospective schedule, but it is subject change
