Introduction to Sewing

Class is on Tuesday, January 27 @ 10am-2pm

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

A sewing machine is a big investment, so you need to be sure it is being taken care of in the best way possible. Simple things such as cleaning, correct needles, threads, and tensions make all the difference. In this class you will learn how to do basic maintenance on your machine, trouble shoot problems you may be having with your machine, learn the importance of using the correct presser foot, needle, bobbin and thread for your project, proper sewing techniques, as well as other hints to help you with your sewing goals. Basic sewing terminology will be addressed, as well as identifying all the principal parts of your machine. And yes, there will be some sewing involved. After taking this class, you should be ready to take additional sewing classes offered at the shop to further expand your sewing expertise.
