Paper Piecing with Rosie
CLASS IS ON July 24TH AT 10AM - 1PM
This class is a step by step visual guide to learn to paper piece. It is a lot of fun and goes quickly once you get used to paper piecing. You will not need a pattern. I am copying the paper piecing designs for you. They will all be different. You will get enough to make one block. BLOCK SIZE – 12 X 12. It’s like Paint by Number – only you are painting with fabric!!
TOOLS FOR PAPER PIECING:
- Rotary Cutter, Rulers
- Add a Quarter Ruler (I believe Berger’s has this to buy),
- scissors,
- tweezers,
- seam ripper,
- pins,
- I will be supplying the paper piecing designs on Freezer Paper printable sheets.
SUPPLY LIST:
- Fabric – Layer Cakes (10” Squares – usually 40 in a collection) Berger’s has lots of solid fabrics to create an ombre – gradation from one color to another or from light to dark from their many beautiful quilting cotton fabrics. And Background fabric. Since the squares will be 12 X 12, you do not need a whole lot of fabric for the one square that you will learn how to paper piece and sew together to make the block
- Good Quality thread to sew with.
- Good working sewing machine (knowledge of how to use your sewing machine)

- foot pedal
- cord
- thread holder
- wound bobbins
- sewing machine extension table (If you have this)
- measuring tape
- ruler
- topstitch, jeans needles or universal needles
