The Applique Pig Apron

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

 

  • How to do a quick and easy turned edge appliqué
  • Raw edge appliqué so the edge will fringe
  • Blanket stitch raw edge appliqué - fused so it will not unravel
  • Satin stitch applique
 

You will have your choice of doing your applique on an apron or tea towel, just email us what kit you would like. 
 

YOUR SUPPLY LIST (WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING): 

  • Machine in GOOD WORKING ORDER 
  • Open toe/appliqué foot if you have one (you may want to bring all your feet and experiment with different ones)*
  • New needles (Schmetz Universal 75 or 80)*
  • Good quality bobbin thread *
  • Extra bobbin*
  • Sharp small scissors*
  • Pins*
  • Seam gauge*
  • Seam ripper*
  • Fabric marking pen *
  • Any other notions you like to use 

  

WHAT WILL BE PROVIDED IN THE KIT:  

  • White adult apron
  • Pig appliqué pattern
  • Fabrics for the pig
  • Tulle
  • Heat n bond (for fusing your pieces onto the apron)
  • Needle threads to match
  • Black buttons for eyes
  • Stabilizer

One of Gail?s greatest love is sharing her sewing knowledge and skills with others.
