Meredith Adolf

Hi,
I'm Meredith and I love being creative! I've enjoyed many types of handcrafts over the years - I learned to sew from my mom in grade school, enjoyed counted cross stitch from my teen years on, and honed my sewing skills making clothes from my young family. Later I learned to knit and crochet and then for many years making handmade cards was my favorite activity. In 2014 I took my first quilting class from a local store and knew I'd found my passion. I've been steadily expanding my quilting skills ever since!
One of the best things about quilting is that there is always something new to learn. Applique, color theory, paper piecing, hand stitching, using different threads, improvisation and so much more - they are all amazing to learn about and try. I'll admit that scrappy patchwork is always my favorite. Why use one red when you could use six instead?
I started writing patterns and teaching quilting classes to guilds and at local quilt stores in 2016. My favorite part of teaching has always been the students. It's so rewarding to see a person stretch their creativity and display their newly made creation with pride and joy. I look forward to meeting you in my next class!
