Want to expand your sewing skills and learn how to accurately measure, cut, piece and assemble a quilt? This 5-week, hands-on class will help you understand the tools and techniques used in basic quilt construction, and show you how to accurately measure, cut and piece your fabric to make six different quilt blocks, which will become your own sampler quilt top. Finishing the quilt top (backing, basting, quilting, and binding) is a separate class that is offered several times a year.

In these two classes, you will learn how to construct your strips, cut the wedges from those strips, how to iron them, and how to sew them together with a precise 1/4" seam. You will also learn how to make bias binding if keeping the quilt as a circle. If you choose to make this quilt as a square, I will show you how to do that. This makes a great table topper, wall hanging, quilt for couch, etc. Let’s have some fun….
