Upcoming Classes & Clubs:

September 2021 Quilting, Embroidery, Serging, and Sewing Club with Gail: It's Spooktacular!

Sometimes we just have to update our kitchen, whether it is needed or we just want to add a bit more fun and color. The August club will cover just about everything you need (or just want) for your Kitchen; from Silicon oven mitts, to recipe towels; In-The-Hoop, to sewing only; traditional to modern. But rest assured, whatever you choose to do, it will bring a smile to your face every time you are creating a culinary masterpiece.

The Cover Stitch & Combo Machines with Gail: Exploring your Attachments

You have the threading down, you can convert from an overlock (serger) to the cover stitch (combo machines only), and you are doing great with all those hems, but you are still unsure how to use all those attachments you purchased. From the Knit/Woven binders to the Pintuck foot, you will learn how and when to use all the attachments available to you so you can get the most out of your cover stitch machine.

Log Cabin Heart (blocks) with Cindy

the log cabin block is an excellent block to start with. It goes together easily and is fabulous for the more experienced quilter who wants to play with color. In this class you will learn how to cut and sew log cabin blocks. with this pattern you will have a lot of strips so if you will need a method of marking your strips - - suggest binder clips (straight pins will also work) along with strips of paper or post-it notes. The directions you will be given works for the traditional regular log cabin block, and with this curved design, but is also the basic sequence of most log cabin designs no matter the shape. We will make at least 3 or 4 blocks so that you will be comfortable in your ability to make these blocks and the heart quilt.
